A Fun Website Design

I recently did a website design for Maury Hills Church in Columbia, TN. They have a lot of young people in their congregation and wanted something cool, fun and attractive that would appeal to families. This was a really fun website to work on because it was so custom and involved a lot of art. The ideas stemmed from their Youth center and the beach/boardwalk image it portrayed. A Favorite Pick

Summer Songwriters Night 2011 is just around the corner! Hard to believe that it's here again...I feel like it was just yesterday that we created this design. This year, we went for another different look with a die cut guitar and real pick. I created this design in 2006 for an Easter Seals event at the home of the late Buddy Killen, Nashville music publisher and songwriter.

Since I created this one in 2006, it has always been one of my favorites. I have always wanted to re-use it for the appropriate event, and this was just the year with SSN 2011.

Antrim Celebrations website design

One of my most recent website designs was for my mom's new business endeavor, Antrim Celebrations. They have opened my grandmother's farm for weddings and events, and my mom will be a wedding coordinator for the place. This project was such a rewarding one, not only because I have many memories here myself, but because this has been a dream of my grandmother's to host events at her beautiful home. They have done events in the past but have never "officially" had a business. Finally a dream is becoming a reality. A special thanks to David Gibson for providing us some of these beautiful pictures that really captured the true beauty of this place!

Smile for Adam

He is a young 25-year-old who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. A UT undergraduate, he is currently attending Graduate school in Texas to become a gaming engineer.

I was contacted by a friend, David, who is an amazing photographer. Adam is his sister-in-law's baby brother. David came up with a wonderful idea to do a photo shoot in Pulaski to raise money for Adam. Along with the help of other friends and supporters, David is planning a fundraising event the first weekend of April. All proceeds from the photos will go directly to Adam for this treatment.

On the first weekend of April, please join me to take time out to say a prayer and "Smile for Adam."

Music City Invitational Shirt Design

At the end of 2010, I had the opportunity to create the t-shirt for the Music City Invitational in Nashville. It is annual swimming competition, and I always enjoy designing the shirt. This year, they used a navy shirt, and the front and back artwork are featured above. Check out some of the past shirts we have done here.

Moving On...

I just finished up recently on another website for a moving company in Columbia, TN. I designed an updated logo and site for the company. They are the official movers for the Titans and have a great business going. They do individual moves as well, and we actually used them a few years ago for our move. They were very courteous and professional, and I highly recommend them! Check out their new site for more details...

CASA Annual Campaign Mailer

One yearly project I always look forward to is the CASA No-Go piece. See previous year designs in an older post here. It is a direct mail pamplet mailed just before the holidays each year. The goal of this piece is to garner support and raise money for this organization who is the voice for abused and neglected children. This year, we played up on the family album, and it was so fun to create! We used quotes from children and photos that related to resemble their thoughts and feelings on what home means to them.
