CASA Annual Campaign Mailer

One yearly project I always look forward to is the CASA No-Go piece. See previous year designs in an older post here. It is a direct mail pamplet mailed just before the holidays each year. The goal of this piece is to garner support and raise money for this organization who is the voice for abused and neglected children. I work with the Columbia chapter, and they do great work for the community! For more information or to donate, visit their site at http://www.casamaurycounty.org.

This year, we played up on the family album, and it was so fun to create! We used quotes from children and photos that related to resemble their thoughts and feelings on what home means to them. It was a pamplet design with a cover and three inside spreads. Click on the image below to see more details...

Direct Mail Designs

I recently did these direct mail pieces for a family practice office. Their goal in the first piece was to draw attention to their newest and only female physician on staff. This one was mailed in October during Breast Cancer awareness when "pink" was top of mind. We had in printed with a gloss on the hot pink parts including the shoes. I think the overall concept and printing worked well for the message they were looking to portray.
The second piece below was a direct mail design for one of their male physicians. In this case, we were looking to promote the new hours. They wanted something a little different that didn't just have a "medical" feel. I think it turned out to be an effective piece for them.

Simply Unique Logo Design

I recently did a logo for a photographer who is just starting his business. We met him at my sister's wedding where he took some gorgeous pictures. We all were so impressed that we had him take some pictures of my family's farm and the kids (click here).

For his logo, I created 4 variations to use in his marketing materials. Overall, I was pleased with the outcome, and I think he was to.

He is extremely talented with the camera, and I will post more on his website and contact information once he gets things going.

2011 Calendar Design

I recently finished a calendar design for a Nashville animal rescue organization called AGAPE. I was introduced to them through Hands On Nashville, where I do some volunteer work. They have a great staff and adorable dogs. These calendars are now on sale and can be purchased on their website here. They are only $15 and would make great holiday gifts for those dog-lovers in your life! Really...how can you resist those puppy dog eyes?!

Photo Reel Invitation Design

Above is a recent invitation design I did for my sister's wedding party (click inside to make it larger). They got married at the beach, so I thought it would be appropriate to use some old beach pictures of each of them to create a cool photo reel. I like the way this one turned out because it was something fun and different. There are many more pieces to show from her wedding but I'll start with the most recent and work my way back!

Website Designs

Wow. Is it really already September? Where does the time go? I have been so busy with work and my sister's wedding stuff (more to come on that) that I have neglected to keep my business blog up-to-date. A lot of projects have come and gone without being noted on my blog, so I'm going to play a little catch-up. Below are two recent website designs I did.

Phoenix Design Group is an engineering firm in Nashville, TN. I did an updated logo for them, as well as a complete site re-design www.phxdg.com.

PUSH Boxing is a new organization in Columbia, TN run by a high school friend. I created a logo and website www.pushboxing.com.

Backstage Pass Invitation

Summer Songwriters Night was last weekend and was a huge success. I designed the programs and posters (above) in addition to the invitations and website. The invitation design was a backstage pass that was laminated and included a chocolate brown lanyard. The front and back design is shown above in the poster design. I was really happy about the look we created this year and look forward to the event next year!

Nashville Survives Flood of 2010

Every once in a while, a project comes up that allows me to use my talents for the good of the community. This is just one of those unexpected and rewarding jobs. I designed some t-shirts that a group in Nashville will sell to benefit musicians who lost their instruments, homes and even jobs. The idea they posed to me was quite a challenge - a skyline of Nashville with a guitar-shaped boat pulling some boot skiis through the Cumberland. With my own interpretation of that, above was the finished product. Check out www.nashvillesurvives.com for more details or to order a shirt!

Summer Songwriters Night

It's always fun to work on event projects year after year. Not only do the designs evolve, but you get to experience the changes and growth of the event itself. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work on the graphics and marketing for the 5th annual Summer Songwriters Night in Columbia. This is a special event for me because it is held at my grandmother's house. The setting is beautiful, and it's always a fun night. This year, we set up a website. Above is the coordinating Save the Date. Check out the website www.summersongwritersnight.com and stay tuned for more on this event!

Just An "Itty Bitty" Design Project

I've got a couple of website designs in the works, and the above homepage template is one. Although the design is complete, some of the information and images are still being uploaded. Itty Bitty is a cute children's clothing store in Columbia, TN. They wanted something unique and fun that represented their product. Hopefully we were able to achieve that with this design! They may carry "itty bitty" clothes, but don't let the name fool you...they are full of big inventory and styles. And when completed...their website will be just the same!

Hello in 2010! Yes, we are still in business here at robin E designs. Coupling invitations, graphics work, outside freelance work and part-time stay-at-home mom duties, my time for blogging has greatly diminished. Nonetheless, I've been hard at work on a variety of graphics projects. I've kicked off the year with a lot of logo designs - each very different and unique to their business/purpose. Here are some samples of a few (click on the collage to make them larger).

Stay tuned for more samples from projects associated with these logos.
